On October 6, 2025, at 19:00, at the Holy Church of Hagia Sophia in Thessaloniki, the 5th Musicological Study will take place, titled: “The Protopsaltis (Lead Chanter) of the Great Church of Christ, Manuel” (+21-6-1819).

The newly published volume of the same name and the work of Manuel Protopsaltis will be presented by Professor Mr. Emmanouil Giannopoulos of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.).

Selected compositions by Manuel Protopsaltis will be chanted by the Byzantine Choir “Ergastiri Psaltikis”. Conductor: Athanasios Paivanás.
